Religious education provides rich opportunities for the children at Dinting to learn about things that matter in the lives of many people in the local area and the wider world. The Governing Body has adopted the Derbyshire Agreed Syllabus so that the children study beliefs, teachings and ways of living, and so that they can explore a range of responses to questions of identity, meaning, purpose, values and commitments. In the process they can examine and reflect upon their own ideas and values. Understanding people’s beliefs can be a first step to recognising and appreciating diversity.
