Our Aim
To provide your child with a positive care and play experience within familiar, caring and safe surroundings. The school does not make a profit from this wrap around care provision, we see it as a way to support busy parents who can be confident that their child/children are safe and cared for whilst they are at work. These extra sessions are chargeable and are only offered during term time to children who attend Dinting C of E VA Primary School.
Organisation
Our breakfast and after school clubs primarily run from the school hall, but we also utilise the school’s outdoor areas. The clubs are run by school staff so your child will be cared for by familiar faces. Children should be dropped off and collected from the main school entrance.
Activities
Both clubs offer a calm environment where children can engage in a range of activities. They have time to sit, eat and play with their friends. Indoor activities on offer include: board games, colouring, puzzles, art and craft, computers, construction and ‘small world’ toys. Outdoor activities include football, hockey, tennis, bats and balls, hoops, gardening, ECO activities and the school’s outdoor equipment.
Food
Breakfast and snacks provided at the clubs will be balanced and nutritious. Breakfast is served from 7.30am. After school, a small snack and drink is provided at 3.30pm then an evening snack is given around 5.00pm. Choices will vary day - to - day but will include:

Registration
A registration form must be completed and returned to school before a child can attend any club. A child will no longer be registered with the club if they have not attended a session for one academic year.
Booking
All sessions must be pre-booked. Click here to access ParentPay booking guidance.
Booking should be made by Midnight on the Thursday of the week before your booking. This is the ensure that we have sufficient food and staffing levels for the children that we have booked in.
You can only make a booking once your ParentPay account has been activated by completing a registration form. Places can be booked in both clubs on an ‘ad-hoc’ basis where space is available.
Cancellations
If you cancel your child’s place 24 hours before the session, the session fee can be transferred or no charge made. If you cancel your child’s place less than 24 hours before the session, you will still be charged the session fee
Late & Non-Collection
If you know you are going to be later than arranged to collect your child, we would appreciate a call. If you know you are going to be later than 5.30pm (when the club closes) you must call school as soon as possible. Late collections (after 5.30pm) will be charged at £10.00 per 15 minutes in order to cover staff working beyond their contracted hours. Persistent late collections could result in your child losing their place at the club.
Communication
The clubs can be contacted during opening hours 7.30-8.45am and 3.15-5.30pm on the school’s mobile phone number

Tax Free Childcare
Tax Free Childcare is available to over a million working families, it is a government scheme to help eligible working families save 20% of their childcare costs. Eligible parents can receive up to £2,000 (£500 every 3 months) per child, per year for children under the age of 12 and £4,000 for disabled children under 17.
Please see www.childcarechoices.gov.uk that explains how childcare offers can be used together and help you understand the entitlements on offer.
Parents can use Tax Free Childcare all year round to help pay for childcare including out of school and holiday provision. The scheme has been introduced to replace the voucher system.
Am I eligible?
You, and any partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible. You can't get Tax-Free Childcare if either you, or your partner, each individually expect to earn £100,000 or more
Families can apply for the Tax Free Childcare using the link below and must remember to reconfirm their details in their account approximately every three months. www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare
We encourage our families to use the Childcare Calculator to find out which schemes are available to them and which works best for their family.
